Twofold Rally distinguishes roles so a caregiver, pony handler, facilitator, helper, observer and young participant are not silently treated as interchangeable.

Role actions

Who observes, supports, decides and receives?

Person in charge

The real organiser identifies this person. The app cannot verify or appoint them.

Parent or caregiver

Supports consent, communication and the young person's needs while a competent handler manages the pony.

Supervised young participant

May ask, pause or decline. Adult safeguarding and supervision responsibility remains.

Adult rider

Communicates uncertainty and follows current instructions; adult status is not proof of readiness.

Unmounted helper

Confirms the task, route and responsible person before moving equipment or entering a working lane.

Coach or facilitator

Only the real organisation determines who may instruct. No named appointment is promised here.

Equipment checker

Current organisational or event process determines who can check an item and what evidence is required.

Photographer or observer

Obtains current permission and consent, respects youth safeguarding and puts the device away when unclear.

Outgoing adult

Who currently handles the pony? What changed? Is any question unresolved? Which boundary or route still applies?

Incoming adult

Confirm responsibility

Repeat the role being accepted, the next location or phase, and how a concern will be escalated.

Privacy by design

No handoff database

The app does not request names, guardian details, phone numbers, attendance, medical information, authorisations or free-text notes. Use current authorised organisational systems for real records.
