Privacy policy
Private by architecture
The installed Android app has no Internet permission, account, advertising, analytics, contact form or sensitive record fields. Pairboard state is temporary; Reduce Motion is the only persistent preference.

Section 01
Responsible entity, platform and scope
Dairy Flat Pony Club Incorporated is identified as the responsible entity for Twofold Rally, an Android application with package name nz.org.dairyflatponyclub.twofoldrally. This policy applies only to the installed app and describes version 1.0.0 as released on or after 12 August 2026. It does not govern a pony club, regional association, governing body, veterinarian, coach, venue, device manufacturer, app store or any website operated by another party.
Section 02
Intended audience and adult supervision
Twofold Rally is an educational preparation companion for adult members, parents and caregivers, volunteers, coaches or facilitators, adult riders, and supervised young participants. A child or young person should use it only with an appropriate parent, guardian or authorised adult in the real-world activity context. The app does not establish supervision, verify an adult, create a duty roster or decide who is qualified to manage a rider or pony.
Section 03
Purpose and core functions
The app presents paired prompts about the pony-side context and the people-side response. It includes readiness conversations, role boundaries, space planning, equipment questions, rally rhythm, fair-play reflections, family handoffs, change contexts, pause boundaries, a temporary Pairboard, source notes, accessibility controls and this policy. The material is reflective and educational. It is not enrolment, scheduling, coaching, certification, veterinary care, incident management or an emergency service.
Section 04
Data collected or transmitted
The app does not collect, upload or transmit personal information or usage data. It has no server connection and does not request a name, email address, phone number, age, date of birth, account identifier, precise or approximate location, device identifier, advertising identifier, contact list, photo, video, audio, health information, payment information or free-text response. It does not transmit selections, screen views or device diagnostics to Dairy Flat Pony Club Incorporated or to an analytics provider.
Section 05
On-device preferences and session state
The only persistent app preference is the Reduce Motion setting, stored locally in Android shared preferences on the device. Pairboard choices, held prompt pairs, open screens and temporary reflections exist only in working memory for the current app session and are not written to a database or file. The app does not associate any preference or temporary selection with a person, rider, pony, membership or real event.
Section 06
Sensitive records, youth records and free text
Twofold Rally does not provide fields for youth profiles, attendance, emergency contacts, medical or concussion records, disability information, injury reports, incident notes, pony health or pedigree records, competition results, certificate progress, safeguarding reports or other sensitive records. It contains no free-text notebook. Do not attempt to use screenshots of the app as a substitute for an official safety, health, welfare or safeguarding record.
Section 07
Permissions and device access
The app requests no Android runtime or dangerous permissions. Its manifest does not request Internet, camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, notifications, nearby devices, Bluetooth, health, activity recognition, phone, SMS or broad storage access. It reads only its packaged text and images and uses ordinary display and touch functions supplied by Android.
Section 08
Accounts, login and account deletion
There is no account, sign-in, membership connection, profile, cloud identity or authentication service. The app cannot confirm club membership or a person's role. Because no app account or server copy exists, an account-deletion request is not applicable. Local deletion is described in section 13.
Section 09
Ads, analytics, tracking and third-party SDKs
Twofold Rally contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, telemetry, remote configuration, social-media, crash-reporting, marketing or behavioural-tracking SDK. It does not create an advertising profile, measure engagement for a third party, serve targeted or contextual ads, or use a WebView to load remote content. Standard operating-system and Google Play processing outside the app remains governed by those providers.
Section 10
Sharing, disclosure and sale
The app does not sell, rent, share or disclose app data because it does not collect or transmit such data. No selection is provided to the club, a coach, a venue, an advertiser, a data broker or another user. Real-world conversations that people choose to have after reading a prompt occur outside the app and are governed by the participants and applicable club or safeguarding procedures.
Section 11
Network behaviour, external links and contact
The installed app operates without network access. Source citations are shown as static reference text and are not clickable. The app has no contact form, email button, telephone intent, export, upload, share, scanner or embedded browser. If a person independently contacts the organisation using another app or service, that separate service and the content voluntarily sent are outside Twofold Rally and this app-specific policy.
Section 12
Retention
Temporary Pairboard choices and screen state are retained only in memory until they are cleared, the app process ends or the app is closed by the operating system. The Reduce Motion preference remains on the device until changed, app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Dairy Flat Pony Club Incorporated receives no server-side copy from this app and therefore has no app-data retention store.
Section 13
Deletion, backup, restore and device transfer
Use Clear Pairboard to remove current-session selections. Use Android system settings to clear all app data, or uninstall the app, to remove the Reduce Motion preference. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app files and preferences, so the app is not designed to restore its local preference on another device. Deleting the app does not delete records held independently by a club, app store or device provider.
Section 14
Security and limitations
Data minimisation, no network permission, no account, no external SDK and disabled backup reduce the app's exposure. Temporary state remains inside the app process and the single preference remains in app-private Android storage. No software or device can be guaranteed completely secure. Device access, screen capture, operating-system compromise and information a user separately records or communicates remain outside the app's control.
Section 15
Children, Families and safeguarding
The app's subject matter can be relevant to families and supervised young riders, but the app does not invite a child to create a private relationship, account, public profile, message, post, location trail, image, recording or score. Adults remain responsible for consent, supervision, safe communication, photography or filming permission, transport, handoffs and compliance with current safeguarding procedures. Urgent safeguarding concerns must be handled through appropriate real-world channels, not recorded in this app.
Section 16
Pony welfare, sport, health and professional limits
Prompts encourage users to notice context, pause and seek the appropriate responsible adult or qualified professional. They do not diagnose a pony, fit tack, prescribe feeding or hoof care, assess a rider's health, diagnose concussion, provide first aid, determine fitness to ride, set a return-to-ride plan or replace current coaching, veterinary, farriery, medical, emergency or governing-body guidance. Stop the activity and follow current real-world procedures whenever safety, welfare, illness, injury, head impact or equipment suitability is in doubt.
Section 17
Policy changes and user choices
A material change to app behaviour, permissions, storage, external services or responsible-entity details requires an updated policy and effective date. Users may choose not to use the app, may clear temporary choices at any time, may change Reduce Motion, and may remove the app through Android. Review the policy included with the exact installed version rather than assuming an older copy still applies.
Section 18
Privacy contact
Questions about this app-specific privacy policy may be directed to Dairy Flat Pony Club Incorporated at dfponyclub@gmail.com. Do not send medical details, youth records, safeguarding reports, emergency information or other sensitive material through ordinary email. For urgent safety or welfare concerns, use the appropriate current real-world contact or emergency channel. If this public club contact changes, the public policy and store listing should be updated.
